Shackleton Alpine Challenge

I spent the week in Chamonix, France, documenting the Shackleton Alpine Challenge. Led by experienced guides Simon Abrahams, Louis Rudd MBE and Wendy Searle, we were taught all the skills required to undertake a two-day expedition to the summit of Gran Paradiso, a 4061-metre peak in Italy. Starting at 4am, it was a gruelling climb over rocky moraine, dry glacier and snow. But worth every step.
